Since its formation in August 1993, the California based corporation Equidyne Systems Inc. ("ESI") had been engaged in R&D, development, testing, clinical studies and obtaining clearance from the FDA to market a patented, "Needle-Free" drug delivery system, known as INJEX™ technology. Injex had received FDA approval as well as the CE Mark for European markets.

In January 2004, HNS International, Inc., USA (HNS) purchased all of the assets of Equidyne Systems Inc., including its patents, Trademarks, all Technology assets and the worldwide rights to INJEX products. HNS is currently located in Santa Ana, California, USA.

In 2006, HNS took over Rosch Medizintechnik, a Berlin based medical devices manufacturer who were the manufacturers of Injex30 system for the European market and in December 2006 Injex Pharma GmbH was formed.

Right from that day the group had made rapid strides making Injex a world leader in needle-free jet injection technology with presence in more than 60 countries thereby turning the company into a profitable business venture .

HNS is now focused on further research & development of the needle-free technology with the aim of bringing it to a larger section of the people. Further R&D is underway and nearing successful completion at Niigata University, Japan and also at Malaysia to introduce pre-fil ampoules with disposable injectors as well as reusable plastic injectors at affordable prices!
